Nicholas C. Lozito Associate

Nicholas Lozito is a life-long resident of the Hudson Valley.  He joined Catania, Mahon & Rider, PLLC after graduating from Albany Law School in 2017.  Since that time, he has focused his practice on trusts and estates, real estate and surrogate’s court litigation matters.

When it comes to estate planning, Mr. Lozito does not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach.  He takes pride in balancing his clients’ unique goals and circumstances against the need to minimize estate tax and liability exposure.  He has significant experience crafting custom wills and trusts, and in guiding estates through the administration process.  He regularly counsels clients on issues relating to fiduciary selection, planning for incapacity, and the transfer and titling of estate assets.  He routinely draws upon his litigation experience to identify and mitigate the hidden costs of a particular course of action.

While in law school, Mr. Lozito served as an Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review, and also spent a semester working for a United States District Court judge.  Upon graduation, Mr. Lozito was awarded the John Dugan Prize for demonstrated excellence in Tax Law, Tax Policy and Government Finance, and was inducted into the Justinian Society for students graduating with Latin honors.
